Just after Halloween (November 24th in Canada), an awesome movie starring Christina Aguilera will open. This is her debut but also stars veteran actors such as Stanley Tucci and Cher. Can't wait to see it!

Costumes by Rubies coming soon to Ms. Dress-Up

It's no surprise that Avatar costumes are expected to be hot this Halloween. Here is a sneak peek of the costumes produced by Rubies. I haven't see the real thing, but they look a little disappointing. I am not a big fan of Rubies, and over the last few years, the quality has really taken a nosedive. I will however carry them as part of our Halloween inventory, and let you, the customer, decide for yourself. :)

Sexy Black Widow Costume from IM2

It's just April, but we are already gearing up for Halloween. You may not know this, but when Halloween is packed up for another year, we are starting to follow all of the trends for the coming season and planning what costumes will be bona fide best sellers. As well, we shop for a selection of unique and unusual items. We're no Walmart, so we try to find unique costumes that you can't find anywhere.

This years biggest hit will be Avatar! Wigs, makeup, ears and contact lenses are sure to be huge for the season. Aliens have always been huge during the Halloween season, but these unique blue aliens are a very desirable costume.

Speaking of contact lenses, we finally have a supplier. We had so many request last year that we had no choice but to carry these at Halloween. They will be very affordable and worn alone or as part of a costume (Vampire or Navi?) Look for a large selection of colours and styles.

Movies continue to influence new costumes for 2010. New this year are costumes from Alice in Wonderland, Avatar, and Toy Story 3. Also, popular icons will continue to set new trends in costumes.

The most hotly awaited costumes of 2010 are the characters from Alice in Wonderland. We will have a large assortment of the Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts and Alice licensed costumes from Disguise as well as a great selection of wigs and accessories from the movie.
